In reviewing the changes in journalism, lie isaid he ifound that even anonymity was apparently being deposed. In' tones of surprise lie said he had been infonmeid! that even Australia had legislated that prior to a.n> election every article should be «:gned. It was, ho isaid, the prune duty of the Press to cope .with, .minimise and assuage international' suspicions instead of warming .them into a hateful lire.
