WAIRARAPA MATCHES POSTPONED. The weather waß -suoh on Saturday that the Wairarapa Rugby Union •deemed it advisable to postpone all ■matches im tho Wairarapa. The playing grounds were in' the majority of under water, and football would liave been quife out of the question. Matches in Wellington were again, it being the second conseontive Saturday im the Empire City «n which tbe grounds were unplayable. .(Next Saturday the North versus South Wairarapa rep,re33'ntative match will .be' pjayed a't Carterton. Two strong teams have (been elected, and sua excellent game should; result. On paper the teams '.look very even, but many are of the opinion, that Yates, *he .Mastertan, full baok, should have iigured in that capacity in the North *eam.' In, matches played this season Yates has played) some sterling games, aind is aim an, asset to his team as a place-bicker.
