This would open up the country through Latogdale, Tenui, Pougaroa, Weber, etc. At ja future date the line could be constructed from Braneepetih viia. ■Ghidstonie and Martinborougli, across the mouth cf the Lake and on to Welfringtou, thus completing the southern portion of the B.ist Coast (railway. .A glanice at the ! map will show that the p-reaent linie from Maurice vilfe. to WicodviiJlb lays, nearly in the centre of the [island.
