ADJOURNED MEETING. Th'o ad j out,lied meeting of the Maisterton lYu&fc Lands Trust was held in the Trust office last evening, there (being present Messrs R. Krahagen, -W. tH. Jackson, O. N. O. Pragnell, >D. Caselberg, T. B. Michdll, O. E. Dtaniell, H. O, Jtcfoinson arid Thos. Wagg. Im connection with the petition before the Housa of Representatives (from the Misses iWard, of Victoria, Amsta'aliu, in reference to a claim upbaii Hand, (now the property of tho Trust, it was decided, upon th'a rnotien of iMr C. E. Dami-ell, seconded by Mr Wl. iff. Jackson, that the matter be left in the hands of Mr Bunny, the Trust's solicitor. iMtr Pragnoll moved, in accordance •with n'oftise given at last meeting, that a special commi ttcJo be set up to (a) iPerus-e all Trfust lbases, tho terms thereof to bo reported to a subsequent meeting, atod as to whether the leeaaes complying wirtih the conditions (special or otherwise) of their 'leases; >(b) Making recommendations thereon. . Mr seconded tho motion. j 'Mi- Robingon c -idered that ther. were already sufficient Committees to 'deal with the guestiiodus referred to in Mr Piragnieli's pI'ORO-;?!. He maintained tliat tho dait'ies of the Fia- i nnce Committee covered the matter 1 yf fe{i6ies ; and if dt 'was necetiHSMy to 'apj()o!ii:t anotliev committee for this purpose, ho was of the opinion that the Fsnamee Comdniilttee had been neglectm giite .diuty in the past. He as a member of the Finance Committee, moant to see that the matter of was p/t'opeily aeen to. IMr 'Danie 1 !'! did not think that any good could, be gained by multiplying committees. He thought thatr the present committees -siliould be quite able t'o Back after sjll birauices clf the Trust. Mr Jacksoai did not see that there was amy n-&eeE&ity for a ipeciii 1 coni'inittee to deal witii leases, unless Mr 'lVagnell had sctao special -questions .relating to leaess in view.
