TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Ri&v. L>. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this veiling issued the following report:— Stormy weather continued about Cook Strait, but moderated somewhat to-day. Raw unsettkcl and showery weather prevailed, e-sjpecially on the East Cost. Strong easterly winds havo predominated. An anti-cyclone, extending into high latitudes for 3031, has beJL-ii reported on Wednesday at Macquarrie Island, when. 30.70 was read at Oamaru, 'and the gradient has heeii and is still very steep to the north-westward. Present .indications are for westerly to couth-easterly winds, probably increasing again from .strong to gale. Unflottlled and dowdy weather, with ram, is probable generally, and more snow shortly o:u the higher levels and in the South. The barometer i« due to fall everywhere, 'particularly in the» North.
