SALE OF AN ISLAND
STEVENSON'S REPUTED "TREASURE ISLAND." (Received July 25, 1.30 p.m.) - SAN FRANCISCO. July 24. Christmas Island has been sold to an unnamed buyer. Father Rougier negotiated the sale from the Grieg family, owners of the island. Christmas Island is the reputed original of Robera Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island."
