On two .occasions during the layt week tho residents of Cole Street and other portions cf Mastert-on have been isolated by the flood w,iters from a crock coming down tram the Upper Plain. The residents affected have a right to expert that the Borough Council will take 'immediate steps to prevent the town beiing ,submerged in the way it 'ha/5 .been during the last week or two. It is juite evident that a larger volume cf water is being allowed to enter the water-courses thin tho culverts will accommodate. To overcome this, it .may be .n-ceccsary to divert the whole, or a portion cf thd stream. The Borough Cour.c-i! should obtain an "ai'ly official report from its engineer •?:i t>ho subjects
