WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Government Meteorological Office, issued tho following report this evening:— I!he ib:trometer has tot everywhere, arji fair to cloudy weather has predominated, but the conditions have ■been very unsettled (in tllie southern•most .districts, 'and on the Ea-st-Coafit of the ISout.li Island this afternoon. Tlie -aspect .is now .somewhat tihreataning about and touthward of East Cape. Present indicatim<s ai*e for strong south to teouth-casterly winds, with cold and changeable weather; squally and riliowery at times on tho East Coast. The harometer will probably rise everywhere. •
