Mr Keir Hardie, Labour member for Merthyr Tydvil, speaking at Newton Ahbot, , s aid "that toe believed there was turmoil in the Cabinet, relative to the disposal of the surplus, and which, would mot unlikely give the Labour party .a new leader and a new foEowng. Asked whether he meant the TUgihit Hon. D. Lloyd-George, .he. rephed: "It would be better to allow the leader to remain a dark horse."
