LONDON, July 22. The death is announced of Mr Andrew Lang, the well-known aut/hor, at lie age.of sixty-eight.
The late Acidrew Liang was one cf •flho greatest English authors of the < •. He was a Follow of the Royal IBttiish Academy. His first publication was "Ballads amd Lyrics pf Old 11-ajice," an- 1872. Among his great--ost works were, to Dead AuiiDrs" (1886), "Homer and the Epic" <1893), Translations cf "Odyssey and Iliad," "Th© Making bf Religion" <IBOW, "John Knox and the Reformation" .(1905), "Homer and His Age." (1906).
