BOXING TOURNAMENT
A .record house should assemble at (the Town Hall to-morrow night, when the Maisterfon Boxing Cllub will present one of 'the hest programmes yet attempted. .Boxers if-r-cm Wellington, 'Manawatu, Hawke's Bay, and other districts will tbo. competing, and a really good evening's sport is assured. Exhibition l -, or first-.class boxing should ibe -wi tin cased in each of the si\ eontests, particularly in th» following matches: — G. Ban;, feather-weight champion of JNW ■ Zealand, and ' W. iMack, -the Wellington, crack; S.. Treweek and E. Hunt; Sid Potier, light ■weight cjtoamipion of Hawke's Bay, and A. Havill, ohampion of Manawatu; O. Oadwallader, the well-known Wairarapa light-weight, and! R. Dare, of the Bush Association, ji. 0. Hives and B. Basking may he relied upon to furnish an exciting bout, while Tas. SmJL'h .and S. Evans •will isupply the heavy weight fixture. Full particulairs will be found in our advertising coi- | umns. Mr H. Inns' orbhes-tira will commence the musical programme at | 7.45 p.m. The doors will be open \t , 7.30, and the firat contest -start's at 8 o'clock sharp.
