Tom escapes from gaol and makes ijaok to his wife, a charming society •itc-'iceaj, a Miss Hamilton, who was . instrumental in getting her husband , jput li-nto prison. Butler manages to gc ( S t : .ato his .wife's presence by disguising Inmoelf as the Baron de Nor■ville, r.r,d attempts to assassinate lier. She survives, and then follow a H'.mpT.r of mcr.'t exciting situations, in which Tom Butler endeavours 'to ■carry out his revenge on his .wife. 'l'lie .picture is a capital one in all re-, r.peets. "The End of Robespiere" is a fine Pathe drama. The celebiutedl llrima, "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde," is "revived once more, tlui's time in pic-~ ture c ornt|, and -is a good quality film. Tflhe Vitagraph Co. add a very special iC/r.g j:n "Destvi-y is Changeless," a iphoto-p!ay of the /most "ntense kind. Two leading novelties are included in the programme. One, '."The Art of Jn-J'itsu,"' is a very capable exposition- of itliat linens science. "The Smallest Pony in the World" is tho pvlm" r;:>velty. The comedy element is fully provided .for. "A Match and No lVizc" .is a pa I'Ocularly hilarious film. "When 'Wife's. Ma Comey Back" is a liubin comedy whese title tells us •there will be "fun ini the air." "A Detective for a D.iy" .also promises tfrci. The -either pictures include "T'h-3 Min,ute and the Maid" (drama), "Under Royal Protection" (comic), and "The Foreman's Courage" fdramal, making -in all 12,500 feet-of pictures.
