It .was decided that mlemhens tef the Council be reimbursed their exipenpses when travelling on thte Aosocftation's bufiiawiss. Tlie Council was tinstruciedi io prepare a scheme- , to have the country divided into seven divisions, which should be represented hy mem/bers of the council. It was decided to revise the rules, and send a copy to eitch member before the next meeting, at which they shall'be considered. A remit from the Wanganui branch that onjy the offspring of cows with a certain butter fat record be registered was diecussed, and withdrawn. The question of legislation on the question of impure" progeny was referred to the n«ct meeting The Council was recommended to urge auctioneers ntft to, advertise as purefored cattle other than those eligible for the herd book. The Council was instructed to fortnula-to a scheme for giving prizes to encourage young judges. Tlie next meeting was fixed for Palmerston North.
