MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
ORDINARY MEETING
The ordinary meeting of the Mas-ter-ton, Borough Council was held . in the .Council Chambers last evening, tfhere (being present,— His Worship the Mayor (Mir J. M. Coradine), and Cite H. O'fLeary, F. W. Tem,pJe, E. Flanagan, W. -Candy, J. C. Ewington, J. Prentice and A. Dnoald. A communication was received from the District Railway Engineer, .stating that the agreement in reference to the piece of land ao Kuripuni railway station was ready for the signar ture of the Council.— It was decided that the Borough seal be affixed to the agreement. A''-ratepayer wrote, asking permission to add two roomy to his house.— It was decided to .grant the application on the csnditicn that the boun- ■ dairy side of the building be of iron. I Tlie secretary of the Waira-rapa Caledonian Society wrote, asking for I a meeting to discuss the proposal to erect a picket fence around the Park Oval. It was decided that the committee appointed to -deal with the matter arrange to confer with tlho OaletßjTnian Society on Friday next. The secretary of the Discharged Prisoners Arid Society wrote -asking for assistance for the furthering of the work of the Society. —lt was decided that the Town Clerk write and inform ■the Society that the Council cannot see its .way ; to make any grant out of 'money set aside for unauthorised expenditure. /
