THOMP x SON-PAYKL PICTURES.

A STERLING PROGRAMME.

Despite the rain, t*ie Foresters' Hall -was crowded last evening to witness the new programme of pictures. The pictures screened . were a we'll selected hatch, which contained many excellent dramatic and. comio i films. A Gaiimont Graphic and iPathe Gazette were very interesting editions of these evergreen and always popular productions. An excel'fent view of the recen treview of the (British Navy in Weymouth Bay was included, and gave all beholders a graphic idea of the -massive iron--clads which form Britain's first line of defence. "The Surgeon's 'HeHolism" was also -a pretty Jove story, and included a realistic view of a hospital in flames, the en dof the -story being of an exceptionally interesting nature. "The Victoria Cross" was the oft-told story of t3ie gallantry of the Light Brigade, in .which the famous dharge is iwell reproduced, intermingled with a happy ending to a ,love 'romance. The picture stirred the Iblood of all present, and-brought forth rounds of applause. It was -a magnificent picture, and ishukl not be missed. The other great isfar drama, "The 'Lost Daughter," told a sensational story, which imet Iwith the approval of She audience. "Blackboard" was also an excellent drama, (being a reproduction of the olden times when pirates were rife and "wr.tiking the plank" was of .common occurrence. The comic films were good, and included "The Ventriloquist's Trunk," "Oh, Those Eye*," and "He .Wanted to Propose." The above pictures are to be projected this evening, 'and again tomorrow 'night.
