The game resulted in a wdn for the -North by 12 points to 8. After the irecent rain the ground was a bit ■heavy and slippery in places. Lack of combination -was noticeable in the South Isiland team in the early stagtes of the game, and except 'that the North I&laiid forwards were dightily better than the South, the teanrj were fairly evenly an'atchkd.
