SYDNEY LABOUR COUNCIL'S REPORT.

SYDNEY, July 13

The Secretary of the Labour Council, in his half-yearly report, notes the general indiaitfixon of labour for closer unity. The time was opportune to meet this before a rival organisation conies to splifc the ranks to tho detriment of the workers 1 interests. Referring to strikes, the report states that the scientific strike, was the only stdke to prove successful, with a w-eli-disciplined body of unionists, wisely managed, ably controlled, and directed only where necessary to hit the enemy and hit it hardest.
