Fallowing were the results of the princi.pn'l Ci'dii: js:— Dontagalla Hurdle Race.— Bullawarra 1, Uxhridge 2, Forest Prince 3. Fourteen starters. A great finish. Won by a head. Time, 4min. lo&seas. Pleasant Ways fell , and broke her neck. GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE. . Gamcap (Morgan!) ......... 1 United Kingdom (M'eabe) 2 Scrutineer -(Hawkins) ....... 3 The whole of the acceptors started. Nimrod and Guncap were the first to move. Leaving the straight, Nimrod was in the lead, followed Jby FuSlgsnt, TJnapage'e and- Big Bob. .Rounding the Iturn the order was— Niamrod, Gun-cap, Fulgent, Myall,, Jack, limited Kingdom. At the stone wall Nimrod and Quilachill fell, leaving Myall in the lead, from Guncap, United. Kingdom, Fulgent and Vanguard. At the llaisfb jjuimp, Guncap <and United Kingdom were toge'tfher, clear of the field. A Ba/trterifcg finish resulted in a win for Gomcap by half a length. Scrutineer Mas three flengtlis away. JThi?n. came'Bribery'and .Fulgent. Only [Vseven horde's finished, the remainder j falling. Four of the jockeys were 'slightly injured, vanguard swstain[ed 'an injury to his neck.
