DISTRICT HOSPITALS.
The. settlers in. the. Eketahuna district are moving in the direction of securing the erection; of a .small hospital ia that locality. The matter will probably bo brought before the Wairarapa- .Hospital Board at an early date. It teeem-s' that the time is not far distant when the .Board will have to face the question of providing cottage or other hospital accommodation in. several of the outlying districts. Eketahuna is no worse .situated than Maryborough, and as in a much better (po'sitlioii- than either Pongaroa o'r Tinui. Still, liketalnniii appears willing to lUEEisit financially, and this Should give >it a strong claim upon' the .sympathy of the Board.
