JOHNSONYILLE STOCK SALE

JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night,

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonvillo sale as follows:—We offered a good yarding of bullocks, and a fair one of sheep, and also a line of dairy cows. Bullocks made from £9 2s 6d to £lO 2s (id to £ll 2s Gd ; vealers, 18s to 31s ; cows at drop, £ls 10s ; others averaged from £1 to £7; extra prime wethers, 26s 9d; prime, 22s 5d to 2-1 s Gd; lighter, 17s 3d to 18s lOd; ewes, 15s 7d to 17s lOd; lambs, 13s to Us lOd to 15s.

MASTERTON STOCK SALE,

The Now Zealand Loan .and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Reduced, reports : —Wo had a good entry of sheep at Sol way yesterday, and with the exception of one line we made a total clearance. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen throughout the sale for all classes. A line of 209 wethers made 16s 9d; ewes in lamb, to 12s 4d; empty owes, lis Gd to 12s Id; backward, lambs, 8s 6d.

Mesrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton sale held yesterday as follows:—We had a small yarding of sheep, and a very large one of cattle, everything selling under the hammer at the following P''lces :—Fat owes, 10s 5d ; medium lambs, 10s 9d; forward bullocks. £6 3s to £6 6s; medium bullocks, £5 12s to £5 17s; others. £1 lis to £1 19s; fot cows, £5 12s fid ; forward cows, £4 15s Gd; station heifers, £3 15s to £1 10s; dairy cows, £4 10s to £5.

WAIPOUA SALE

Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waiipoua (Masterton) vards on Wednesday, July 10th, when they offered a very small yarding. The weather was in buyers favour, consequently the prices were not up to late market rates. The cattle entry, which was well ahove advertised numbers, met with a dull sale. Quotations: —Sheep: Hoggets, to 12s 5d ; cull «V.'ss, 6s to ?s. Cattle :. Fat steers, £7 ss; fat cows. £5 or. to £5 7s Gd; store cows, £2 12s to £3; young hulls, to £2; cows in calf, £5 to £6 12s Gd.

PAHIATUA STOCK SALE

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held their weekly sale on the 9th inst. A heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle was submitted to a large attendance, and the hulk of the sheep went to the Wairarapa. The class cf sheep was well above the average, some really good lines of breeding ewes and hoggets being offered, for which there was keen inquiry, £1 Os 3d being reached, for ewes, and 15s for hoggets. Other classes of sheep also sold well. Cattle met a good sale, practically everything changing bands. Quotations: Young-ewes in lamb, 15s 9d to 20s 3d; 2, 4, 6-tooth and 4-year ewes, 14s 6d to 18s; sound mouth ewes, lis 6d to 14s Id; full mouth ewes. Gs Gd to 9s

2d; fat ewes, 14s to 16s sd; good hoggets, 12s lid to 16s; medium hogigets. 10s 3d to 12s Id; small hoggets, 7s 6d to 8s 7d; 3-year steers, £5 ss; good yearling steers, £2 15s to £3; dairy cows, £5 17s to £7 ; fat cows, £5 to £5 6s; forward cows, £3 5s to £4 2s Gd; store cows, £2 to £2 16s; heifers at drop, £7; heifers in calf, £5 to £5 12s 6d; good wcaners, 37s to 475.

CLEARING SALE AT MANGAMAIRE.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., conducted a most successful sale on behalf of Mr E. Bodmin, who lias sold his farm, of tho whole of Iris dairy stock, horses, implements, furniture, etc. Bidding was spirited for everything offered, the cows selling especially well. They were a really tip-top lot, with good records, and buyers operated with every confidence in them. The whole herd of 44 cows averaged £9 3s all round, selling from £6 10s to £ls. Springing lieifers made £7; Jersey 'bull, £7 7s; weaner Jersey cross heifers, £3 13s 6d; farm horses, £l3 to £29; mixed hoggets, 12s 8d; breeding sow, £4 2s Gd; slips, 14s. Implements, carts, furniture and sundries made full values.
