CONGRATULATIONS AND CRITICISM.
The foinial announcement of the new Ministry, made in the House of Representatives yesterday, gave Sir Joseph, Ward an opportunity to indulge in a little playful crititflsm on top of his "inuicere" congratulations. He drew the attention of the House, and 'incidentally of the country, to the fact t'hJa-t three tof the large Iciti'es, arid several of the provinces were unrepresented in the Mtbiistry, while there was ■only onie faminer 611 the Cabinet, and ■no Labour reprose'ii'iat'ives. Mr Mnslsey experienced \h difficulty in dealing with tin's criticism. He pointed out that Ministers wo'iild do justice by all pnirts- of iiheiD'.'imiui'ou.. Hs- also showed eonclusiv'ely that rflvM'e were four farmers in, the new Cabinet, and that he himself represented t'ie Labour interest. Sir Josepih Wauxl is evidently going to play *Xj part of the candid critic. He 'lUll (requitre to use bigger ammmuiition ithan th'at employed yesterday to do much damage.
