MASTERTON WAIPUKURAU RAILWAY
LEAGUE FORMED AT WATER-
FALLS.
A branch of the Miusterton-Wai-pukurau Railway League was formed at Waterfalls on Saturday, 20th June, when itlie following officers were elected: — tMeissn's L. Houl'brooke (chairman), A. J.- Patchett (secretary a'nd treasurer), and C. Livorton. (delegate 'to the Pongaroa ißailwav League.) The; following motion' Avas put to tlio meeting and carried unanimously^— ■'"That this .meeting of Waterfalls tattlers is of 'the. opiaiion that a railway for (the district is urgently .needed, and urges the Government- to place' a sum of tmoney oil the Estimate® this session for its construction." The secretary of the Pongaroa League attended, and gave the meeting an interesting resume of the 'work, and also stated the general objects of ith ( e League.
