HONG KONG, July 6
Li Hong Hung,'who made an attempt to shoot Governor May, has pleaded guilty to the offence. An accomplice has been arrested owing to a snapshot of the scene of the attempted assassination revealing th man with a revolver in his hand. Documents found in the accomplice's possession show that both of tho men wore financed by the Canton Triad Society, which ordered the assassination of Governor May, or Mr Severn, the Colonial Secretary. The accomplice was report ms*; \o th J Society that he regretted the failure lof the attempt upon th? liffi Govi ernor May.
