FATAL ACCIDENT
ON MIDLAND RAILWAY WORKS.

GHRISTCHURCH, Last ssitf.it. George Lennard was killed to-day at Springfield. Lennard was employed bin the Midland railway works, at the Chss, being omt there three days ago through the agency of the Labour Department. Tihi.s morning he f. ! U over a high cliff at Springfield, and -when he way picked up he was dead. ■Lennnrd was a. middle-aged man. He was not known to anybody at Cass, and had no friends there.
