The Carterton News states that Mr R. Stout, headmaster of the Belvedere school, became seriously indisposed on Wednesday, and was taken to the Daleton private hospital.

A. London cable states that Mr T. Richardson, the well known Surrey bowler, was found dead on a pathway at Aix le-Baines. Death was caused by cerebral congestion, due to exposure. He was the fastest bowler in England in his day, and he visited Now Zealand with an English team a few years back. He was 42 years of age. A wedding was celebrated at St. Mark' s Church, Carterton, on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Alma, third daughter of Mr and Mrs P. C. Anderson, of Parkvale, and Mr Alfred Sheens, Now South Wales. The Rev. R. Young performed the wedding ceremony. Mr Carl Anderson, brother of tho bride, officiated as best man, and Mr Edwin Burns was groomsman. After tho ceremony a. reception was held at the residence of tho bride's parents. A largo number of handsome and useful presents were received. Mr and Mrs Sheens' left for the South, where tlie honeymoon will bo spent. A' quiet wedding was celebrated at Knox Church,'' Masterton, yesterday afternoon, when Mr Sidney Norman Anderson, of Hastings, was married to Miss Emma Alice Harding;, daughter of Mr F. Harding, of this town. Tho bride was given away hy her father, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. A. T. Thompson, 8.A., B.D. Mr and Mrs Anderson will take up their residence at Hastings. The bride was prettily attired in voile with Sitin stripe and silk fringe, with the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by four bridesmaids —Misses E. and F. Harding (sisters), Miss JVI. Wellington (niece), and Miss B. Jones, of Carterton. Mr W. Harding was best man, and Mr Kemp groomsman.
