EKETAHUNA HOSPITAL.
ITo The Editor.}
Sir,— In to-day's issue of your paper, I uc'bico the following paragraph:— "I'he Eketahuna branch of "he i' I '' m-v/.V U: I'jn do 'r"b favour the esbaiblishmeiiit of a hospital in that dwtfirjfc. It is evidently afraid of an iutrtv.!-.? in rats." Mr Editor, as chairman of this branch, 1 most emphatically teatradi.jb that statement. The .matter hrc cdly been informally bc-fc'i'e this branch, and I am quite siT.-o the imembns are in favour cf the c-stabH.shim.iiat of a hospital here. What we do object to is the manner in Which seme of the money is being spent in connection with the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and the manner in which the rates in connection with the- .same are increr.'iing every year. Ratepayers in the Bush distu'i'iVa leek upon the .present hospital in Master ton as a white, elephant, that takes a tremendous lot of monc-v to feed.— I am.' etc., B. MORKIS&, Chairman Eketahuna Farmers' Union, Rongdkokako, July 3, 1912.
(Our pariicfi-aph was 'based upon a report of "a discussion at the annua'! '■ meeting of the Eket!iibuna branch of the r urmers' Union.—Ed. Age.)
