WELLINGTON, Last NightTho Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— r
The barometer, has continued higu and. steady everywhere, with moderate and variable 'winds. Fair to •cloudy and cold weather- has prevailed, w'ith drizzling rain, however, about Foveaux Strait. Present indications are for a falling, barometer everywhere Scon, especially, in th? South. Cold and 'misty, witherin the anorning. fair to cloudy afterwards, and indications for a change 'following shortly. South-easterly brecz.-.'s.Vccring to easterly, and freshening cif East Cape and Kawhia, and westerlies backing to in--erasing northarliets elsewhere.
