Speaking to a question by Mr Okey in regard to the Canadian-New Zealand sea-vice i'li the House, cif Representatives this nftenioon, the Prime Minister -stated that he did not think it would be wise t:> lay the full agreement between the Union Company and itbi/ iGovernment on the table of the House. Any member could gee the agreement privately. The Prime 'Minister isaid that at first the merchants took little or no interest in the- servi'??, but now a considerable trad* had been built up they wanted all the advantages. It wai> decided that the agreement should ha laid before the House, the Prime .Minister finally offering no objection. "If they want it, tliey ', can have it," he said.
