Mr S. Baillie, of the Carterton Post office, has been transferred to ITo Xuiti. Ejjstor Swinerd ' returned to JMjKerton from Feilding yesterday by th*afternoon train. At the meeting of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce yesterday, a motion of sympathy was passed to Mr and Mrs Vivian Donald in the loss ■uf their son. The Hon. J. A. Hanan left Masterton yesterday for Dannevirke by the mid-day train. He . proceeds to Napier to-day. Visitors at the Club Hotel, Master~ton, include Mr Grocott (Secretary for the Hon. J. A. Hanan), Mr Toms, Mtf*)Magnuß, Mr Thorne George, and 31r 'Bock. Mr Tressider has taken up his duties as assistant clerk in the Magistrate's Court at Masterton, and Mr H. E. Huston has gone to Wellington Mrs Ann Organ, who died at Nel£on a few days ago, was born in "Northl-"ach, Gloucestershire, England, i m 1823, and arrived in Nelson with "Ticr'ihto husband ( Mr Thomas Organ) over fifty years ago. Deceased leaves iifty-four descendants, including . grandchildren, and thirty-four great- * -graachildren. 1 Mr l&T A. Gray, Government Auditor the New Plymouth district, was on Thursday found dead iying on a, shelf of the mass of rook overlooking the New Plymouth breakwater, nTtd known as Paritutu Sugar ,Loaf. He had been suffering from .serious prostration, and it is believed that he was seized with a fit of dizziness, while standing or sitting on the edge the rock. The deceased, who was 34 years of age, came from Dunedin, jwd joined the clerical staff of the Government Printing Office in 1901. Two years later ho was transferred to the Audit Office, and appointed to the Taranaki district.
