TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph — treat Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tho Rev. D. O. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— Heavy rain has fallen, and the rivers are flooded in Westland. The s.eas have also been very heavy on the West Coast of the South Island. The weather has,been gOn'sralry unsettled and showery, with westerly winds, strong to gale, and the barometer un>steady. Present indications are -for high westerly win/Is, veering to a southerly gale. Stormy and colder weather is probable, with rain generally,- and snow on higher levels. The barometer ivili probably rise fast soon, in the South., but a falling 'tendency may be expected in the North. Heavy seas probable on a'H the Western Coaist, and in. Cook •■ a:nd Foveaux Straits. , /'
