MASTERTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING. '. The monthly meeting of the Ma.stortoli Hospital Committee was held-, at the conclusion of the Charitable Aid Committee's meeting yesterday morning, there being present,-—: "Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman;),,. W. Filish-ciir, D. J. Cameron, J. o.' Ewingiton/Jais. Miller and H. O'Leary. ;■ ». The treasurer's report showed ;: credit "baMaince at date of £224 18s 6d. . •In view of heavy expense incurred during the irtpnith in the imatt&r of heating the infeqtioUs diseases hospital iby mean's 1 .of gais heaters, it was decided to make arratngeimen'ts for some other means of heating these wards, and Messrs Cameron, O'Leary and the chairman ■ were appointed a tsuib-eommitteie, ■-with power-to act in the matter. ' • , it was .also decided to hold a spet'fal meeting of the com'miftee on Tuesday, 2nd July, for the ipurpqse-'j of considering matters in connection ■with the lighting cf the hospital. In view of his. approaching marriage, it iwas unanimously resolved that' the Medical Officer be granted tleave' of absence., iit having .been ex-' plriiried that' satisfactory arrangements had been made foiythe filling of the position dluring the doctor's absence. , Mr Cameron' was appointed visiting miemlber for the ensuing month, and the iineeting adjourned.
