SMELTING WORKS STORMED. (Received June 15, 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 14. Alt Perth Amboy, New Jersey, a. thousand strikers stormed the American Smelting Company's plant. The deputy-sheriffs warned tfo crowd to desist, but their earnings were, fruitless.' The sheriffs then opened fire on the crowd. One of the strikers was killed and injured
