GREAT UNIONIST DEMONSTRATION
NON-CONFORMIST SLAVES TO PARTY. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) i- " LONDON, Juno 15. A great Unionist demonsratipn was held in the Albert Hall, to protest against tho Home Rule Bill. 'Hie Rev. Watkinson declared that the Non-Conformist members of tho House of Commons had ceased to represent Puritanism, and had become slaves to party. He criticised the Non-Conformist divines for supporting Homo Rule. One of these, in a pamphlet, had (produced a bucket of whitewash for the Nationalists, and a bucket or two for his -co-religionists. For Non-Conformists to descend from their lofty level and join red-handed moonlighters for the sake of political power, was, he declared, unparalleHed degeneration. The Bishop of Ossory said,: "If yon can expel us from our citizenship and heritage, our sons will not repeat the mistake of exaggerated loyalty."
