Carterton meet Gladstone for the first time this season. The fornrar 'have played two matches and won both, while Giadston© have wen two out of tliree games. On. last Saturday's farm Gladstone ha ; ve improved a good deal, eo that a really good game may he expected. Red Star meet Masetr'tort for the -first time, and although ion paper Stars appear to have a mortgage on the match, the blacks will give a good account of themselves. If the giVnrnd is dry a good game should result. Liberals will play their first match as a senior team ngairst Greytown today, and good judges expect the Featlierston team to put up a good game. Greytown have not come up to expectations. At the beginning cf the season the team was expected to have \a say in tlie deciding cf the Championship, but tli© most recent form off the team suggests that it has gone off considerably. Theiy may, however, do better as the season, advances. A number of complaints have lately been heard from referees in reference to spectators at the matches -causing trouble by getting .on to the line.
