A further. sequel to the strike on the s.s. P'.rparoa was the appearance in the Magistrate's Court to-day of fifteen waterside workers, charged with, being a party to the strike In several instances the information was dismissed. One mEjmber was fined £5, and four others were fined £1 each.

The middle-aged man named Heivy Symouds, who was the victim • f an assault near the Hoyal George Hotel on June 3rd, died at the hospital at 1.15 to-day.
