A wedding in which a great deal cf [ infterest iwas manifested was celebrat!ed in Knox Church, Miastertjon, yes-'terd-ay, when* Mr Alexander McLay, the popular head shepherd on Brance- ' peth station, was united to- Mtss Margaret Bennington, ©econd daughter fif IMr C. Bennington, an old resident of this tiown. Tlie ceremony was, per*formed <bv die Rev. A. T. 8.A., in the presence of n. large rium-J Iber of. friends. The bride, who was atthvd 1 in a prntty cream drees, was , •giiven: away by her father. Mis« Kuby -Winitwrighani, who was dressed in iai/d'aintybliue costume, acted as ibridesiwaiid. .Mr P. McLay (brotker cf tlh:e ibridegrocim) was best man. Mr and Mrs McLay left-by the afternoon train Tor Wellington, route for'the South, where the moon will be spent. '
