TOWN BEAUTIFYING
COMMITTEE FORMED IN MAS-
TERTON.
An enthusiastic ,meeting was liekl in the Masteiton Borough Council Chambers ! Ta®t. ovening, in connection wiith the .formation of a Town Beautifying -Society, ,Ct F. W. Temple.pre-
siding. It iwas decided that all those present be formed into a committte, together with several others who had promised their saip.port. Afte Tdiisoussion it was decided that the Committee undertake to make a start with the beautifying of the Triahgle at Kuripuni, and also to (try and jmake arrangements for beautifying the Northern Approach, between tilnei bridges. With this end in view it was decided to call meeting of those interested -at 7.30 on Frid'ay. at Kuripaini, in the Kui-ipuni" Hall, and also a meeting for Monday evening next, at 8.15 o'clock, in the Lansdowne School, for residents of Lans•downe «and those interested in seeing what steps can be taken to beautify th'e Northern Appi'ciach.
•It was decided to write tio the Caledonian Society, A. 'and P. Association, iFrienidly Societies, Trust Lands ■Trust, County Council, School) Committees, Aitihletic Bodies, Fire Brigade and Fiire Police, 'asking for tth'eir co-operation,, a.nd delegates to attend a meeting to be called at a. later date.
It was also tihtiught that if the l Kuripuni and Lansdowne meetings 'prove successful that a committee be Iformed with tlie object of beautifying •the .western side of tile town.
