DEATH FROM EXHAUSTION.

ASHBURTON, Last Niyht. The body of an old age pensioner named John Gubbins was found in a shed near Westerfield yesterday. The deceased had been a gold-digger all ■his life, and at the inquest to-day the evidence went to show that lie wa* on his way back to the Otago goldftekls last month. Medical evidence gave the cause of death as exhaustion, and stated that it occurred fully a fortnight ago. The coroner's verdio + was given accordingly.
