THE WAIHI STRIKE.
AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT,

WELLINGTON, Las; Night. An official statement has been issued by the Federation of Labour. " It states that the executive has de-, cfded'to conduct an active campaign [ on behalf of the Waihi and ReoftMi men and will promote public meetings in all centres for the purpose of securing support for the men on .strike I .and locked out. The executive has sent to Australia a circular in which* an appeal is made for financial assistance. The executive has sent Messrs Webb, Parry and Fraser to Waihi to conduct the fight there, and has delegated Mr Semple to tour the West Coast and MiHoward to tour the' South'- Other members will act in various centres.
