THE REEFTON TROUBLE.
REEFTON, Last Night,
Matters re the trouble are very quiet. The decision of the Crown. Law Officers that' the trouble, is neither' a lock-out nor a strike is- very lunpaktable here. Most of the men fct\rongly favour arbitration, and it is hoped the Court will settle the dispute. The official section, so far as can, be gathered, is unfavourable to" arbitration methods.
Most of the married men have got to work on the railway works, roads, and other mines, bu't the weather has very seriously affected their earning capacity.
Prospecting at Kirwan's Reward and Victoria Range has been stopped by the snow, and the men had to (Come in..
A number of single men are in town, !but there are not so many at, anight 'be expected. Things are very quiet indeed.
