MALTA CONFERENCE.
DECIDES UPON CHANGE OF POLICY. IN NAVAL AND MILITARY MATTERS. (Received Last Night, 10.30 o'clook.) LONDON, June 10. The Daily Mail says that the Malta Conference decided that owing to the necessity for concentrating in the North Sea, the naval and military policy ini the Mediterranean must change. A plan has been adopted, subject to the Imperial Defence Committee's ap •prpval, and proposes to add modem fcitbleships'to the present'weak squadron of cruisers in the Mediterranean, and to -make some arrangement /whereby France will share the responsibility of the protection of British interests an the Mediterranean. 'No formal alliance is contemplated.
