A FRENCH SORTIE BRITISH OI'TICEIt KILLED. (Received Last Night, '9.35 o'clock.) PARIS, June 3. General Lyantey reports that Colonel Gourand's column made a sortie against the Moors ten kilometres noi of Fez. They shelled a large encampment, causing tho Moors to take flight to tho mountains. Ma,ny were left dead on the field. Tho French had nine killed and twenty-eight wounded. Included in the killed was an English non-commissioned officer named Redman, who attacked the Sultan s army. General Brulard, speaking at the funeral of the officer, paid a high tribute to Red man's courage.
