NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Tekgraph—Preii AitoeiationJ WELLINGTON, Last Night. > The Rev. D. 0. B&tes, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following rejptort:— The barometer has fallen low in the S6uth.,' and a, westerly area of low | pressure and of considerable magnitude has enveloped the Dominion. Unsettled weather with; mist ; and rain has been experienced generally, with increasing northerly and westerly winds. Present indications are for high'nortlierly and westerly winds, with wet and stormy weather generally. The barometer \yiLl prohaibly fall lower everywhere, but a sharp rise may be expected to .follow in (about 36 hours, •witfli the winds veering to a southerly 'gale for colder weather and snow in the South. There is a prospect of the weather clearing for Monday in most parts of the Dominion.
