HOMING PIGEON CLUB

FOURTH ANNUAL SOCIAL. The fourth annual social of the Maaterton Homing Pigeon Club wa.s held in the Druids' Hall last evening, a large number of mem'bers and friends being presided over by Mr .O. Perry. An Enjoyable evening was spent, and a lengthy programme of toasts, soags aud recitations' was gone through. Trophies won during the 6emson xwm .also presented, ajid the large number of splendid prizes indicates 'that the Club has many supporters, without which no club can be a success. The following programme i was rendered:—.Recitation, Mr GourI lay (2)i- song, MV- Nnttal (3), song, Mr I Connor.(2),vsaßg, Mr J. Gilbert; song Mr Hwnhlow; recitation, Mr Sykes, MjP. ; song, Mr A. Long; recitation, Mr F. Riosson. Mr I. Gray kindly presided at tihe piano. A very enjoyable evening was concluded by the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
