Mackenzie) adreessd a meeting numbering 500 at Opnnalre. to-night, and wa,s accorded a very cardial reception. The speech letted atout two hours, and Mr Mackenzie was loudly applauded on resuming hj;« sea.t, A motion as follows was -passed, amid hearty cheering:— "Tiiis meeting tenders its very vote df thanks to the ' Prims Minister for .life linatructive and stateemanlike speech, and expresses its entire cqtifidencejn the admimstration of which he is the head, and trusts that the Dominion will give t.h.o Administration an opportunity of giving effect, to its policy." Subsequently a social was held in the Pr.eirfier's honour.
