At the afternoon sitting, the Conference passed- the following resolutions:— That strong representations •be made to the Government to refrain from gran.ting'frurthe>:' coal leases, and •that th.3 (Government open more State coal mines; that the Conference instruct the Federation Executive to communicate wi'Jh all .representative Labour organisations throughout the world for the purpos? cf pointing out ■the attempt on the part cf an alleged Labour advocate, Welter Thomas M,il!:|, to .spread dissension and disunity in the ranks of organised Labaur at a time when they wore confronted with » united enemy in the Employers' Federation; that the Government be asked to allow the Telegraph Department to telephone all telegraphic [.shipping notices of arrivals and departures of vessels to the waterside workers' waiting romv.s. -
