SOME LIVELY SCENES
LABOUR PARTY CRITICISED

LONDON, May 28. The Socialist Congress produced some lively scenes. Mr Hyndman, who presided, resent, ed the insolence to which he was su -s joe ted, remarking that some of the delegates behaved like infuriated anarchists.
The Congress passed a vote oi confidence in Mr Hyndman. There wa* much "uproar m the subsequent debugs.
l.uly Warwick criticised the f.ai'o.ir Party, who, she- said, instead of i. uniting the House of Commons, sat with me.-k heart lUil spoke with ilatt viug tongues. They were a broken reed and no longer to be trusted. The Independent Labour Party's conference at Methyr had criticised t!be< Labour Party's relationship with the Govern/ment, which was the worker's worst enemy.
Mr Keir Hardie defended the party, and urged am increase in Labour representative in the House of Commons, to make it more effective.
Mir Anderson' retaliated that the President was defeating the Lansbury conference.
