HALF YARLY MEETING
AN UNFAVOURABLE OUTLOOK

At the half-yearly meeting of the TJank of New South Wales, the amount available for distribution, in-•clud-jig £80,701 brought forward, :s $£295,816, which is an increase of £31,000. A dividend of 10 per cent has been declared, £60,000 added to the reserve «ad*£Bf>»Bl6 carried forward. A payment of *'&*tesa, per cent bonus to staff's .salaries for the half year, absorbing £35,000 was approved. The President ,in a speech, said that the liquid, assets amounted to £lB,-, 709,000/ as compared with £21,395,0p0 a. year ago but there was an increase «f over half a million compared with last September. The note circulation, for the year had decreased £874,000, and was due entirely to the Federal Note Act. Referring to the diminished returns from wheat and wool, he «a:d that the outlook for the coming year was not very favou.ra.ble. Dry conditions in many districts pointed,to -probable considerable losses.
