The latest Commission set up has been, on trusted with the task ■of finding out vilra.t is the cause of the. increased cost of living, and, what is .necessary "to reduce the cost. Wo will •supply the answer without >fee. The cost ci living has been increased r.is a result cf extravagant Expenditure ]>rivatcly and (publicly, assisted (by tho combines of labour and commoiw and an oppressive protective duty. To 'reduce* the cost of living we will require to wipe ,out the Customs tax, or a greater portion of 'it; remove the Aribitetion Aat Lnro-in tlie Statute Book; legislate against monopolies; reform tout system of hand valuation and land administration; and curtail our public •expenditure.
