It was considered all along by most people that the Company'.* employees •at Paenoa iwere working under the conditions governing the members of the Thames Miners' Union, seeing 'that the mines at Komata and Kar•amgaMake are working under an agreement with the (Minere Unions at the Thames. The position, so' far as the iwor'fes at Paeroa are concerned, has now been settled .by the Extraction Company Ibecoming a party to the vagreemient ,made, and which will by consent he made an award <xf the Arbitration Court. Pending the recomm'euoamenit of crushing operations, the employees of the Extraction Company who did not go out an strike are being lccjpt engaged. Dredging operations rive still being canned on, and unless something nuforsceu happ-sns, the mill should be tworking as usual next week.
